Every year the American Homebrew Association encourages homebrewers around the world to gather around their kettles and welcome spring by brewing the biggest batch of homebrew ever! This event, Big Brew Day falls on Saturday, May 7th, 2017 this year. We are combining Big Brew Day with a food drive in support of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York and the Greater Boston Food Bank in Massachusetts.
For $20 and a couple of cans of food, which will be donated to your local food bank, and you’ll get a free 5 gallon Saison beer ingredient kit called, “Battre L’oie Saison”. You’ll be able to brew this recipe on Big Brew Day at your local store. You can choose to brew it in either and extract or all-grain.
If you decide you would like to brew the Saison at home you can buy the ingredients for 20% off rather than just $20.
If you would like to brew one of the other two recipes instead, we will take 20 % off of the price of their ingredient.
The choices are: An American IPA called, “Rushmore IPA”, or an Oktoberfest Lager called, “Klang Freudenfest”. You can brew these beers at your local store on Big Brew Day.
We’ll be serving free hot dogs & burgers.
Sign up asap as space is limited.
All Grain brewers should arrive before noon to begin brewing. Extract brewers should arrive by 1:30pm. All brewers can arrive as early as 10am.

Big Brew Day background:
In 1988, May 7 was announced before Congress as National Homebrew Day. The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) created AHA Big Brew as an annual event to celebrate National Homebrew Day around the world. AHA Big Brew is held each year on the first Saturday in May.
Anyone, even homebrew shops, can host and register a Big Brew event, so invite your friends and family, gather around the brew kettle and join in the global celebration of the greatest hobby there is—homebrewing!
