Big Brew Day Was a Great Success

Homebrew Emporium had a great Big Brew Day on May 4th. Among our locations we had about 120 brewers (and their family members, friends, and neighbors) who crafted over 600 gallons of Portions Proper English Dark Mild. With donations and raffle sales we raised S1,400 dollars for local food banks. We also collected 330 pounds of food.

  • In the Rensselaer, NY location we had 57 brewers who donated 125 pounds of food and helped us raise $725 dollars for theRegional Food Bank of Northeastern New York
  • At South Weymouth, 27 people donated 35 pounds of food and raised $350 dollars for the Greater Boston Food Bank.
  • In Cambridge, 6 people brewed, we raised $100, and we collected 30 pounds of food for the GBFB.
  • At the West Boylston, MA location we had 29 brewers plus friends who donated 135 pounds of food and helped us raise $200 dollars for the Worcester County Food Bank.

A big THANK YOU to all the local establishments that donated prizes to be raffled off, and to all the people who brewed and brought friends and family to learn and enjoy the craft brewing.
