All Stores will be closed for the following Holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

The Modern Brewer opened in Cambridge in 1990. After a few years it relocated to Davis Square, evolving into a brew-on-premise. You may recall their Fat Cat ESB. Unfortunately, this move proved to be too much and the business went back to retail at its original location.

In 2001, Roger and Bruce stopped in, the owner wanted to move on, and the Modern Brewer became the Modern Homebrew Emporium.

Today, Eamon Poplin and his helpful staff focus on personal interaction with everything from helping you select the best hops  for that IPA you’re brewing, to advising you which mash tun would be best for the all-grain system you’re planning.
