Description

Discovered as a chance seedling in 1861 and propagated by Richard Fuggle in Kent, England in 1875, Fuggle was once the most prominent English hop accounting for 78% of production in 1949. The variety is grown in the United States, primarily Oregon, displaying slightly stronger characteristics that the English version. Fuggle is often compared to Styrian Golding and is tolerant to downy mildew with good pickability of small size, seedless cones.

Known for mild wood and fruit characteristics.
