Description
Released in 1976 from the USDA breeding program, Willamette is a triploid aroma type hop that for years was the most widely grown US aroma variety. It is named after Oregon’s Willamette River which runs through the heart of the state’s hop growing region. Willamette is tolerant to downy mildew and has fair pickability of a medium size, open cone.
Known for being mild and pleasant, with slightly spicy and floral tones.
